सत्यं वद । धर्मं चर । स्वाध्यायान्मा प्रमदः ।
सत्यान्न प्रमदितव्यम् | धर्मान्न प्रमदितव्यम् ।
कुशतान्न प्रमदितव्यम् । भूत्ये न प्रमदितव्यम् ।
स्वाध्यायप्रवचनाभ्यां न प्रमदितव्यम् ।
देवपितृकार्याभ्यां न प्रमदितव्यम् ।
मातृदेवो भव । पितृदेवो भव ।
आचार्यदेवो भव । अतिथिदेवो भव ।
येश आदेश येष उपदेश ।असतो मा सद्गमय ।
तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय । मृत्योर्मामृतं गमय ॥
संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं सं वो मनांसि जानताम्
समानो मन्त्रः समितिः समानी
समानं मनः सहचित्तमेषाम् संगच्छध्वं संवदध्वं
सं वो मनांसि जानताम्
समानी व आकूतिः समाना हृदयानि वः ।
समानमस्तु वो मनो यथा वः सुसहासति ॥
Celebrating Academic Excellence
On April 22, 2025, Arunodaya University, a prominent academic institution renowned for its dedication to academic achievement and holistic development, proudly held its 5th Convocation Ceremony. The occasion celebrated the accomplishments of the graduating students and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to developing the next generation of leaders and innovators, marking an important turning point in its history. The convocation, which took place on the university campus in Lekhi Village, Naharlagun, Arunachal Pradesh, was a lavish event attended by distinguished dignitaries, proud parents, accomplished alumni, and eager graduates.
A Grand Beginning
The Chancellor, Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, members of the Board of Management, deans of various faculties, and faculty members in traditional academic attire participated in a grand academic parade that kicked off the program. The ceremonial lamp, which represents the eradication of ignorance and the arrival of wisdom and enlightenment, was lit to formally launch the ceremony. A moving performance of the university song followed, which instilled a sense of pride and achievement in the air.

Welcome Address by the Pro Vice-Chancellor
Prof. (Dr.) C.V Joshi, the Hon’ble Pro Vice-Chancellor of Arunodaya University, delivered the welcome address. He extended heartfelt congratulations to the graduating students and expressed his gratitude to the faculty, staff, and parents for their unwavering support. Emphasizing the importance of values, ethics, and lifelong learning, he urged the graduates to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. He also highlighted the university’s recent accomplishments, including research advancements, academic collaborations, and new programs launched to meet the evolving needs of the industry and society.
Vice Chancellor’s Address
The Vice Chancellor of Arunodaya University, Dr. S.R. Verma, in his inspiring speech, applauded the achievements of the graduating batch and reminded them of their responsibilities as torchbearers of the future. He spoke about the university’s vision to foster a progressive, inclusive, and knowledge-driven society. Stressing resilience, the importance innovation, of and compassion, he encouraged students to become agents of change and to pursue excellence in every endeavor.

Distinguished Chief Guest

The Chief Guest, Prof. Narendranath S., Director, Nerist, Nirjuli, Arunachal Pradesh, addressed the gathering with an inspiring speech. He congratulated all the graduating students on their achievements and encouraged them to pursue excellence in their future endeavors. The Chief Guest emphasized the importance of lifelong learning and urged the students to contribute meaningfully to society and the nation. He highlighted how education is not just about acquiring degrees but also about building character, empathy, and resilience. Recalling his/her own experiences, the Chief Guest motivated students to face challenges with courage and integrity. He concluded by expressing confidence in the students’ abilities to become responsible citizens and thanked the institution for the honor of being a part of such a memorable occasion.
Distinguished Guest of Honour
The Convocation Ceremony was graced by a distinguished guest of honour, Prof. Jayadeba Sahoo, Senior Most Professor, Department of Education, Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh who delivered the convocation address. In his thought-provoking speech, Prof. Sahoo emphasized the critical role of education in shaping the future of the nation. He also talks about the National Education Policy 2020 and its importance in students as well as for the institutions. He commended Arunodaya University for its emphasis on interdisciplinary education and research, and praised the university’s efforts in promoting skill development, entrepreneurship, and community engagement. He also shared words of encouragement with the graduates, urging them to remain humble, curious, and dedicated to lifelong learning.


Another convocation talk was given by distinguished guest of honour Prof. M.M Mohapatra, Principal, Hills College of Teacher Education, Lekhi, Arunachal Pradesh. Prof. Mahapatra stressed the importance of education in determining the destiny of the country in his stimulating speech. She also discussed about the importance of NEP 2020 and how it can lead to the student’s future. In addition to applauding the university’s initiatives to foster skill development, entrepreneurship, and community involvement, she commended Arunodaya University for its emphasis on interdisciplinary education and research. She also encouraged the graduates to continue being modest, inquisitive, and committed to lifelong learning. She also conferred that proper education and educated students are the backbone of a country and they can make our country from developing to developed.
Conferring of Degrees and Awards
The highlight of the event was the awarding of degrees to the graduates from various disciplines, including Arts, Commerce and Management. Over 47 students received their undergraduate and postgraduate during the ceremony. The air was charged with emotion and excitement as students walked up to the dais to receive their degrees, cheered on by proud family members and faculty.



Several meritorious students were also honored with gold medals and special awards for academic excellence.

Convocation Pledge by Controller of Examination (CoE)
Under the direction of the Controller of Examinations, graduating students humbly took the Convocation Pledge during Arunodaya University’s fifth convocation, which took place on 22nd April, 2025. The vow placed a strong emphasis on moral behaviour, lifelong learning, and a dedication to serving society with knowledge and integrity. The shift from academic life to professional and civic responsibilities was a momentous occasion. The Controller conveyed faith in the graduates’ capacity to preserve the institution’s principles and make constructive contributions to the country and the global community.
