To realize these goals Arunodaya University established several key strategic objectives outlined in three phases as short-term goals, medium-term goals, and long-term goals, with focus on boosting research output by 30% within the next three years, achieving a 90% graduate employment rate, and establishing new industry partnerships annually. Arunodaya University aims to increase international student enrolment by 25% to expand its global reach and it is committed to achieving carbon neutrality by 2030, ensuring a sustainable and impactful future. INSTITUTE DEVELOPMENT PLANS –

ARUNODAYA UNIVERSITY ITANAGAR (ARUNACHAL PRADESH) – (2024-2044)

1. Preamble

 

The Arunodaya University Development Plan (AUDP) is a strategic framework designed to guide the growth and development of Arunodaya University in line with the directives of the University Grants Commission (UGC), India.

The AUDP aims to foster holistic and sustainable development within Arunodaya University by addressing key areas such as academic programs, infrastructure, research, governance, and community engagement. The AUDP serves as a roadmap to align institutional goals with national policies in higher education and global trends.

The rationale behind the AUDP is to ensure that Arunodaya University develops a clear vision and mission that reflect the evolving needs of society. It emphasizes the importance of structured planning to enhance the quality of education, promote innovation, and build competencies among students and faculty members. By implementing an AUDP, Arunodaya University can identify its strengths and weaknesses, set achievable targets, and develop action plans to meet both short-term and long-term objectives.

Moreover, the AUDP encourages Arunodaya University to adopt best practices in administration, promote industry-academia linkages, and enhance the employability of students. The plan also focuses on improving access to education, promoting equity, and ensuring inclusivity in the higher education system. AUDP plays a crucial role in the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which envisions transforming India’s higher education system to meet the demands of the 21st century. Softkey Education Society was started was started in the year 1997 and established with the sole aim of nurturing the building desire of aspiring students in the field of engineering and management. • To setup 5 collaborative centers of excellence imparting essential skills for enhancing academic pursuits.
• To establish an industry partnered incubation center to nurture entrepreneurship.
• To have 20% of learner population opting for entrepreneurship and/or pursuing higher studies.
• To attract foreign faculty from reputed universities to the extent of 5% of total faculty.

9. Implementation and Monitoring

The AUDP of Arunodaya University is an Action Plan for up to 10 Years. A 5-member steering committee has been constituted for monitoring the progress of the activities as described in the AUDP. For this purpose, an internal monitoring mechanism is in place.

 

The following procedure will be implemented:

1. Before finalizing the AUDP, feedback has been taken from stakeholders.
2. Regular review meetings will be organized by the steering committee constituted for this purpose.
3. Evaluation studies will be done on the implementation of IDP to make mid-course corrections in the IDP

It is the long-standing wish of Arunodaya University to evolve into an Institution of Eminence through careful implementation and operation of AUDP as conceived and elaborated above.
